Saudi Arabia’s Fundamental Installation for Electric Work Company (First Fix) has been awarded a SR266 million ($71 million) contract to execute the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) works for the Ilmi Science Discovery and Innovation Centre in Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City, Riyadh.
UAE-based Alec Engineering & Contracting, the project’s main contractor, awarded the MEP contract, which will run for a duration of 21 months from the start of construction.
The project is being developed by the Mohammed Bin Salman (Misk) Foundation and led by Princess Sara Bint Mashhour Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, wife of Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud. The centre is designed to engage youth in science, technology, literature, engineering, art, and mathematics.
Ammico Contracting Company executed the foundation works for the Ilmi Science Discovery and Innovation Centre, providing a critical early-stage contribution to one of Riyadh’s landmark developments.
Located within Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City—the world’s first non-profit city—the project reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to fostering innovation, creativity, and knowledge-based growth.
