Durrah Sugar Refinery – Ground Improvement Work (Stone Column) – Yanbu, KSA
Ammico’s scope of work included soil improvement through the installation of stone columns. The objective of the soil improvement was to enhance the load-bearing capacity of the soil and to control settlement within the specified limits under building loads. A total of 390 stone columns, each with a diameter of 1.0 m, were installed to a maximum depth of 18 m below ground level.
