Musheireb Heart of Doha Project – Phases 2 & 3
Ammico’s scope of work comprised the design and installation of the shoring system, piling, excavation, and dewatering for the basement structure. The major elements of the works were as follows:
- > Construction of diaphragm walls, 800 mm thick and 19 m to 23 m deep, with a total length of 850 m
- > Construction of secant pile walls, 800 mm in diameter and 18 m deep, with a total length of 100 m
- > Installation of removable ground anchors
- > Installation of 900 mm diameter bored piles, 9 m in length (2,385 nos.)
- > Installation of 1,500 mm diameter bored piles, 11 m in length (209 nos.)
- > Installation of 1,800 mm diameter bored piles, 13 m in length (837 nos.)
- > Excavation works with a total volume of approximately 1,901,406 cubic metres, including disposal
- > Provision of five basement levels
- > Installation and maintenance of a complete dewatering system
